Former India captain Harmanpreet Kaur advanced two spots to claim the eighth position in the latest ICC Women's ODI rankings released on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. This movement follows strong performances in the matches against Zimbabwe, including a century in the second ODI alongside all-rounder Deepti Sharma that helped India secure an unassailable lead in the three-match series.

While Harmanpreet moved upward in the rankings, current skipper Smriti Mandhana lost her top batting position to South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt after recording scores of 32 and 0 in the recent fixtures against Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Deepti Sharma experienced positive movement across multiple lists, advancing four positions to 23rd among batters, gaining two spots to reach fourth in the all-rounders' rankings, and moving up one spot to eighth in the bowling list as announced by the ICC.

Additional ranking changes feature India youngster Pratika Rawal achieving a new career-best position by climbing seven rungs to 21st among ODI batters. Several Zimbabwe players also improved their standings in the batting list, including Modester Mupachikwa moving up five spots to 39th, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano rising four slots to 47th, and Beloved Biza jumping 16 places to 56th. In the updated T20I rankings, Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana each gained one spot to rank third and fourth respectively among batters.

Harmanpreet previously stepped down from her role as team captain after leading the squad to a second successive Asian Games gold medal in Japan. The recent matches continue to shape the international standings for women's cricket players across multiple formats as teams conclude their scheduled fixtures.
