The Election Commission of India updated the timeline for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across six regions, consisting of Maharashtra, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, and Nagaland.

The poll panel implemented these schedule adjustments following specific requests received from the Chief Electoral Officers of the affected States and the Union Territory of Delhi. The Election Commission communicated these timeline extensions through separate letters sent to the five States and Delhi.

Specific deadlines have been modified in several areas to allow more time for the process. In Maharashtra, the deadline for filing claims and objections moved from October 26 to November 13, the notice phase and disposal of claims will run until November 25, and the final roll publication is set for November 30. In Delhi, the deadline for filing claims and objections was extended to November 25, disposal of claims moved to December 15, and the final roll will be published on December 22.

Throughout the process, the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision exercise has been pushed on multiple occasions in the past due to a variety of reasons.
