Bangkok, October 27, 2026: Most major Asia-Pacific stock markets advanced on Tuesday, following gains on Wall Street, as investor optimism surrounding Anthropic's reported Nasdaq initial public offering (IPO) plans strengthened sentiment across the technology sector.

According to the report, artificial intelligence company Anthropic is preparing for a public listing under the proposed ticker symbol “ANT,” following an earlier confidential regulatory submission to the US Securities and Exchange Commission in June.

The potential listing has attracted attention from investors seeking opportunities in the rapidly expanding artificial intelligence industry. The report also links renewed market enthusiasm to SpaceX's earlier public offering in 2026.

Regional markets recorded mixed performances. Japan's Nikkei index climbed 1.69% to 63,240.50, while South Korea's KOSPI surged 4.16% to 5,696.85. Australia's ASX 200 gained 0.16% to reach 8,824.40.

In China, Shanghai's Composite Index declined 0.15% to 3,692.04, while Shenzhen's index edged up 0.02% to 11,536.82. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index slipped 0.33% to 23,135.28.

Meanwhile, US equities finished higher on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average reportedly gaining 0.28% to close at 52,361.58.

Investors are also monitoring upcoming corporate earnings announcements and the US Federal Reserve's two-day monetary policy meeting.

Market expectations suggest that interest rates may remain unchanged following September's reported increase, although traders remain alert to signals regarding future monetary tightening.

Geopolitical uncertainty continues to influence global financial markets, particularly amid reported tensions involving the United States and Iran.

Despite these risks, enthusiasm surrounding artificial intelligence investment and potential technology listings has supported regional equities.

Market participants will closely watch monetary policy announcements, corporate earnings and geopolitical developments for indications of future market direction.
