Trump Doubts Russia and China Are Helping Iran in Conflict

US President Donald Trump stated that he does not believe Russia and China are providing significant assistance to Iran in its ongoing conflict with the United States. Speaking on Truth Social on a Monday, Trump dismissed these concerns by asserting that Russia and China would have "too much to lose" if they chose to help the Islamic Republic. He further noted that if any such assistance were occurring, it would be at a very low level, and emphasized that the United States would discover it "very quickly."

The statements come despite media reports highlighting various forms of military cooperation between Tehran and the two nations, which have maintained close ties with Iran for decades while denying any military aid provision in the conflict that began in late February. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, Chinese companies have supplied components for Iranian drones and missiles, and US officials have linked satellite imagery from Chinese sources to an Iranian strike that resulted in the deaths of three American service members. Meanwhile, Beijing maintains that it adheres to international rules and rejects attempts to connect China to the hostilities.

In addition, Western allies believe that Iran likely restored a significant part of its missile arsenal and added new Russian weapons during a truce with the United States that took place several months ago, as reported by Bloomberg in June.
