Tripura's Directorate of Medical Education has advanced through multiple rounds of NEET-PG counselling for postgraduate medical seats in MD, MS, and Diploma in Clinical Practice programmes at its two major medical colleges, the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences and Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences. Eligible candidates who have qualified NEET-PG must navigate the state-level counselling process to secure admissions across general, reserved, and other categories.
The Directorate of Medical Education announced the Round 3 schedule on 7 January 2025. The merit list for Round 3 was released on 4 February 2025, with provisional allotment results following on 6 February 2025. The reporting deadline was subsequently extended on 10 February 2025 to give candidates additional time to complete admission formalities. Furthermore, a stray vacancy round was conducted to fill any remaining seats, featuring a provisional merit list released on 18 February 2025 and an extended choice-filling deadline on 19 February 2025.
Candidates participating in the counselling process must log into the portal to review available seats, submit their choices in order of preference, and complete document verification upon provisional allotment. Required documents typically include an MBBS degree, NEET-PG scorecard, domicile certificate, and applicable caste certificates. Failing to report to the allotted college within the specified deadline results in the forfeiture of the seat, which may then be offered to the next candidate on the merit list.
