Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced that the state has approved approximately Rs 1.5 lakh crore in relief funds for farmers, with Rs 5,000 to be provided during Diwali and deposited into their accounts within two days.

In addition, Fadnavis announced the planning of the India Jewellery Park project in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, involving an investment of about Rs 50,000 crore and expected to create one lakh jobs. The commencement ceremony was attended by Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Developed under the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, the facility aims to be the nation's largest and most modern of its kind.

Fadnavis noted that Maharashtra accounts for 58 percent of India's total gems and jewellery exports and stated that the new park will help sustain the state's leadership in the sector for decades. He also credited the state's strong law and order environment for attracting high investments and foreign direct investment.
